Everything you need to know about Random Talker anonymous voice chat.
What is Random Talker?
Random Talker is a free anonymous voice chat platform that connects you with random strangers worldwide in seconds. No video, no signup, no app download needed. Just open randomtalker.com and start talking instantly.
How do I practice English speaking on Random Talker?
Open randomtalker.com, click Start, and you can use random voice conversations to practice conversational English in real-time. Because matching is random across a global pool, English fluency and accents vary depending on who is online.
Is Random Talker good for language exchange?
Yes. Random Talker is voice-only, so you practice speaking and listening without being on camera, which is where most people feel nervous. To find practice partners, add the language as an interest before you start, for example "spanish" or "japanese". You'll be matched with someone who added the same interest, and if nobody has within a few seconds, you're connected to anyone online so you aren't left waiting. During the call you can type a word in the text chat if it's hard to catch, and you can skip to a new partner at any time. Interests are free, and you don't need to sign up.
Is Random Talker safe?
Random Talker is designed for privacy: you can start talking without registering, creating a profile, or sharing personal information. Voice calls connect peer-to-peer over WebRTC, are encrypted with DTLS-SRTP, and are never recorded, stored, or transcribed. You can skip anyone instantly and report them for one of four reasons: harassment or hate, sexual content, spam or scam, or underage user. Monthly report and ban totals, counted since reporting launched in July 2026, are published on the safety page.
Is Random Talker for adults only?
Yes. Random Talker is strictly for users 18 years of age and older. Minors are prohibited from using the service. A single "Underage user" report restricts that person straight away, before anyone reviews it, and our team then confirms the ban or lifts it.
Does Random Talker work on mobile?
Yes. Random Talker works on any phone browser — iPhone or Android. No app download needed. Just open randomtalker.com on your phone and start talking.
Is Random Talker really free?
Yes. Basic random voice chat is completely free forever, and so is gender preference. No credit card, no account needed. An optional Premium plan adds priority matching and an ad-free experience — see the pricing page for details.
Can I play games on Random Talker?
Yes. During a call you can play UNO, Ludo, Battleship, Tetris or Sudoku with the person you're talking to, and the voice call keeps running while you play. The games are free, and you can also play them on your own.
What happens to my voice during a call?
Voice calls on Random Talker are peer to peer — they go directly between you and the other person. Nothing is recorded, stored, or monitored. When the call ends everything is gone.
Can I use Random Talker to make friends?
Yes. Many people use Random Talker for genuine conversations and friendly chats. However, for your privacy and safety, we strongly discourage sharing real names, phone numbers, social media profiles, banking details, or location information with strangers.
Which countries use Random Talker the most?
India, by a wide margin. From 11 to 30 September 2026, Google Analytics counted visitors from 84 countries, and about 75% of them were in India. The next largest were the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines. Matching is one global pool with no country filter, so most partners are currently in India.
