Fix It for Your Browser
Chrome on Android
Tap the icon left of the address bar → Permissions → Microphone → Allow → reload.
Safari on iPhone or iPad
Tap "aA" in the address bar → Website Settings → Microphone → Allow → reload.
Chrome on Computer
Click the icon left of the address bar → Site settings → Microphone → Allow → reload.
Safari on Mac
Safari menu → Settings for This Website → Microphone → Allow → reload.
Firefox
Click the lock icon → clear "Blocked" next to Microphone → reload and tap Allow.
Still Blocked? Check Your Device Settings
If the site is already set to Allow, your phone or computer may be blocking the browser itself:
- Android: Settings → Apps → Chrome → Permissions → Microphone → Allow.
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → Safari → Microphone → set to Ask or Allow (not Deny).
- Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → turn on your browser, then fully quit it (⌘Q) and reopen.
- Windows: Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone → turn on "Let desktop apps access your microphone".
- Close other apps or tabs using the mic (calls, screen recorders, floating chat bubbles), then try again.
Why the Permission Popup Doesn't Appear
Browsers only ask once per site. If "Don't Allow" was ever tapped, the browser remembers it and blocks the mic silently from then on — so you have to change the setting manually using the steps above.
